NI certification demonstrates that we have the skills needed to create high-quality applications with NI software platforms and gives you and our peers confidence in our abilities.
Certifying to the highest levels strengthen our network and ensures us the best possible support from and collaboration with NI.
The NI certification program
NI certification is a multi-tiered program with a separate track for LabVIEW and TestStand. It's important to emphasize that individual persons can certify, a company as a whole cannot.
Entry level certification is the Associate Developer which demonstrates basic knowledge of the software.
This is followed by the Developer certification which demonstrates extensive skills with the software when implementing a wide variety of applications. You need a few years of daily experience with the software to be able to pass the Developer exam.
The topmost level is the Architect certification. The certified Architect is able to design applications in addition to implementing them, to properly select and integrate platform components in a complex distributed system, and to manage the project as well. A few years of work as a Developer is usually necessary before you have a chance at passing the Architect exam - and then only if your project experience has been varied and your skillset is top-notch.
GPower engineers are typically Architect level - sometimes multiple - with more than 15 years of experience within the NI software and hardware ecology.
In parallel with the LabVIEW and TestStand certification tracks NI has recently introduced the first specialty certification: the Embedded Systems Developer. The Embedded Systems Developer has demonstrated the unique skillset required for implementing real-time and FPGA based applications using LabVIEW and NI embedded hardware. Only a few individuals worldwide has yet passed the Embedded Systems Developer exam, of which the very first one in Denmark is the founder of GPower.
A LabVIEW Champion is a top tier, National Instruments Platform enthusiast who has been recognized by NI for their exceptional application development, technical depth and breadth, and leadership and contributions to the LabVIEW community.
LabVIEW Champion is an honor awarded by NI, it is not a certification you can train for.
Around 60 LabVIEW Champions are currently active worldwide, and the only Danish one is the founder of GPower.
GPower employees hold one of the highest totals of NI Architect level certifications in Europe.
